Stephanie Rurkowski of New Brunswick Earns NEC Academic Honor Roll Recognition

Mount St. Mary's University student-athletes of spring sports were recognized for their excellence in the classroom as the Northeast Conference announced Academic and Commissioner's Honor Rolls on Monday.

Stephanie Rurkowski (New Brunswick), who is a member of the Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse team, was one of the students honored.

A total of 54 Mount St. Mary's student-athletes earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll, while seven of them were also honored with a place on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the NEC Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes had to achieve a 3.20 cumulative grade point average or better. Student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better were placed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll in addition to the Academic Honor Roll.

Members of the Mount St. Mary's men's tennis, women's tennis, women's lacrosse, men's lacrosse, men's outdoor track and field, women's outdoor track and field, baseball and softball teams were considered for the award.
