Hugh W. Mohler Jr. Joins Mount St. Mary's University Board of Trustees
Emmitsburg, MD (03/22/2017) — Hugh W. Mohler Jr. has joined the Mount St. Mary's University Board of Trustees, effective January 15.
Mohler is a partner with KPMG, and has served the firm for more than 25 years. His experience includes involvement with public equity and debt offerings, acquisition due diligence procedures and the related generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements for business combinations. Mohler is also an SEC Concurring Review Partner and a certified public accountant in Maryland.
His experience also includes providing professional audit services to several large multinational groups in accordance with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) requirements and U.S. GAAP. Additionally, Mohler has a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations and has been involved in numerous public debt and equity offerings.
Mohler currently serves on the board of Center Stage, as well as previously served on the boards of Advocates for Children & Youth, the School of the Cathedral, and Interim Housing. He also belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Mohler earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Mount St. Mary's College, class of 1990. Mount St. Mary's became a university in 2004.
