William S. Roohan Joins Mount St. Mary's University Board of Trustees
Emmitsburg, MD (03/22/2017) — William S. Roohan has joined the Mount St. Mary's University Board of Trustees, effective January 15.
Roohan currently serves as vice chairman of CBRE, an American commercial real estate company. Over the past 32 years of his career, Roohan has been involved with apartment and investment transactions in 13 states and the District of Columbia, which have totaled a value exceeding $28 billion.
Throughout the last 21 years, Roohan has been in the top five nationally for multifamily sales. He has been named a Colbert Coldwell Circle Member from 1998-2008 and from 2010-15, as well as the recipient of the McCarthy Award (CBRE's most prestigious award for all sales professionals) in 2002.
Roohan has served as a trustee for the Odyssey School and BCHP, as well as served on the CBRE 401(k) Advisory Committee and Boys' Latin Former Headmaster's Cabinet. He is a member of the Multi-Housing Advisory Board, Americas President Advisory Council, National Major Accounts Group and Institutional Group.
Roohan earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Mount St. Mary's College, class of 1981. Mount St. Mary's became a university in 2004. He is also a certified public accountant.
